I picked her up from a shelter today and we headed north to meet her new foster mom. She appears to be maybe around 8 years old, going by the graying around the mussel, but she has gray in her coat so maybe she is actually younger. It’s so hard to tell at times, not knowing any back story on her. I would also say that she is mixed with corgi, as she had no tail and very short legs. And she was so cute. Did I mention that she is also pregnant? She will have the cutest puppies ever. There will be so many waiting for her pups that they will have to have a drawing. Well as she is now out of the shelter, on her way to a better life, our work returns to the not so lucky still locked up and always under threat of dying. It never ends.
Is This The Same Dog?
Yep, that I can promise you. The top photo is when she just came out of the shelter, the bottom photo is in her new home, all settled in. This is after much vet care, and outstanding fostering by a well respected rescue. This is what we all work so hard for. To move from a crappy home to a distant and uncaring shelter, to a foster that cares and on to her forever home, still keeping herself together, all the while adapting to each new challenge as it comes up. She worked as hard as the rescues and all involved in making it happen. You’re finally home, enjoy.
