Just by looking at the photos, I bet you can’t. Four came in from the shelter with mange and they looked terrible; blood and pus and covered in fleas. One has a mental issue that chihuahuas sometimes get, don’t know the name, but it effects motor control functions. As you can see, they are at least looking healthy and ready to move on to the next step in preparation for finding them homes. As for the special needs dog, he is photo #4, the brown chihuahua. If you handle him it is quite evident, but he manages it quite well and can be treated like everyone else. He was such a little love when I handled him. He will certainly brighten up someone’s home and how lucky they will be.
Finally, Kitties Have Their Day
It was definitely kitty Tuesday today. I pulled nine kittens and cats from two different shelters for two different rescues and they went from San Bernardino to West L.A. to Santa Barbara. It was a long, tiring day and I will admit not all the cats like being transported, but they sure like where they ended up at their fosters. This was one of the times that I used the fosters photos as I just didn’t get a chance to get good photos with them all in carriers. They look so much better out running around. This is what makes it so important to save as many as we can. One cat at a time, but they do add up at the end of the day.
