Who’s The Aggressor?

June 16, 2013 by Animal Resources

Yesterday I went to a shelter to pick up a rescue-only dog that was to be killed that day, if not out. I tried to send him out through the shelter to be fixed, but no they said; out, out, out. So I pulled him intact, and I admit he was a handful to get in the kennel. No way was he going in there. He fought and fought but finally two of us did it and he was not a happy camper. When I arrived at the boarding facility, he just wanted out of the kennel and if I didn’t have a tight hold, he would have been just a memory. We got him into their enclosure and he seemed to have settled down somewhat. This morning the foster came by, and he was just this poor sweet thing that was looking for a little lovin’. Well he had that and some and off they went to their house. By all accounts he is doing fine. You just never know.

Meet Icey

June 14, 2013 by Animal Resources

Went to a City of Los Angeles shelter today and pulled this gal who has been there for over 5 weeks. Was she nervous on coming out? You bet she was; very nervous, very skittish on the slip lead, wanted to just run away and hide somewhere. But she did jump right into the kennel and was perfectly happy there. We got to the boarding kennel and out she came and went right into her new kennel, which I hope is for not very long as she needs to be in a home or a foster and needs lots of TLC to help get her more socialized and ready for the world. I am sure that the rescue who wanted her will take care of that.
