Today was puppy day and was there a bunch. I pulled this mom and her 6 pups from a shelter and they were all so cute and playful. I also pulled one shepherd mix pup from the hoarder dogs that are inundating the shelter. They had 130 dogs dumped on them and they are trying as best as can be expected to manage all of them. I pulled this little guy, see if you can guess which one he is. Tomorrow I am supposed to go back for six more, I hope so. Their clock is ticking at that shelter.
Their Last Transport
Today at 2:30 a.m. I got up, got dressed, took the dogs for their walk, got McDonald’s for breakfast, refueled the van and was on the road by 4:00 a.m. on my way to a kennel in Culver City to make a 5:30 a.m. pickup time for these two that only last week we had rescued from a not so great place. Remember these two had been in a kennel for a year, now they are doing all this moving around and having new meet and greets everywhere. I believe they get overwhelmed at times with all the newfound attention. We had everyone loaded and the plane departed around 9:00 a.m. for their new home in Oregon. I know there is plenty of running room where they are going and I’m sure they will make the most of it. I know their chance of being adopted there are so much better than here. Good luck to all.
