Today I transported this lab boy, Camper, up to Napa California to start his training as a drug enforcement dog. Wow is all I can say. He is one of our shelter dogs that was turned in because he was to hyperactive, says the previous owner. That is the type of dog that makes an excellent working dog. We all wish him the best over the next several months or years in his newfound career and hope many more to follow him.
And Freedom Rings
Again on their very last day, I pulled the mom and her 5 pups from the claws of those who would do them harm. These pups were born at the shelter, they are but 5 days old as of today, have never opened their eyes and almost didn’t forever. Luckily a kind-hearted and very generous rescue stepped up and off they were taken to boarding and await transport up north where they will find homes and have a chance that they never would have here. We are all hoping all goes well. With new borns it’s always risky.
