It Can Still Be Hard To Believe

November 26, 2012 by Animal Resources

I have seen these before and after grooming photos before, but it never ceases to amaze me that it can be the same dog, after a bath and maybe a first grooming the dog has ever had. Such a difference it makes. Who do you think would get adopted first from a shelter by just an ordinary person walking thru? Most people can’t see what’s under all that dirt and crud that is a result of just plain neglect. And if you don’t think that it can cause pain and suffering when all that fur is matted and twisted in knots, then you haven’t seen this up close. I have and it can make you just want to cry. The groomer who took all the time and effort to do this wonderful cut on this poor guy deserves a very big thank you from all of us. Thank you.

From Boarding To Foster

November 24, 2012 by Animal Resources

This was the next step for this little Aussie. Having just come from one of the L.A. county shelters, then to boarding, I am sure he was wondering what was going on. People don’t realize how stressful this is on these dogs; being moved from one kennel to another, they don’t relax and can become very territorial at times. Luckily this fella was moving to a foster and I am sure he will get adopted and can finally settle down.
