I picked up Picasso in San Bernardino, at a home that had taken him in from the streets. He had been badly beaten and left for dead by the side of the road. A nice couple took him in and all is better now; I don’t know if he even remembers it. To see him today you would never know it. I arranged for him to go to a rescue in Arizona as I thought he would have a better chance getting a forever home there as his luck in our area wasn’t the best. All we can do now is wait and see what happens.
Can Can And Chico
It has taken longer than normal to get these two guys started on their journey. First Chico had a bad case of kennel cough and spent all his time at the vet hospital trying to get better (he’s all better now). He fast became a favorite and many tears were shed when he left – read more about Chico here. Can Can has been overstaying his welcome at the Simi holding facility because our normal ride to Phoenix had a schedule change and we all had to re-adapt to it. We now have him on the first ride out. Both were very tired being cooped up in kennels for so long, they just wanted to go. Somewhere. Well they are on the road now and at least they are alive. Same can’t be said of others that came in the shelter about the same time.
