Today I pulled 5 little ones for a rescue up north, but only one could leave the shelter, as the others needed to be fixed before being released. That’s all good and expected. But low and behold the littlest and tiniest of the lot was a handful to deal with. This little guy wanted no part in whatever we had planned for him. He didn’t want to walk on a leash, didn’t want to get in the kennel, didn’t want to be picked up and didn’t care how unhappy he made everyone who tried to deal with him. Making friends was not part of his nature and he was having no part in any of it. It looks like the rescue will have their hands full with this little guy. And I am sure that a lot of training is in his future. But he was very cute.
Five Easy Pieces
I went to a vet clinic in south L.A. to retrieve five little dogs that had not had much socialization and were very afraid of people. I don’t know why they all acted this way, but you could tell they were used to being on their own without much human involvement in their lives. They are going to a rescue in Arizona that has promised to work with them and get them on the path to adoption as quickly as possible. Lucky for these guys there are people in this this world who care, not all are as lucky.
