If you count them there are six chi and one pittie that I pulled from Devore shelter today for different rescues that only wanted one dog when we started. The pittie was a given as he was why I went to the shelter to begin with. Then other rescues found out I was there and it started. Could you get this one, and this one, and this one. Sure, sure, sure. Well I left with six chi and that was all the room I had. If I could have gotten more I would have. They are all worth it, just ask them.
A Year In Boarding, But Now…
Can you imagine spending a year in a boarding kennel, waiting and waiting and hoping that that next person through the door will take you out of this dungeon and perhaps let you run free again, to find out what it’s like to lay under a tree and just sleep in the sun once more? Well if it hadn’t been for one Indy rescuer, this might never have come true for these guys. She has made it her one focus in life to get all ten dogs out and into homes or at least fosters. So far six have left, four remain. The goal is all out by the end of January. These two are flying north and hopefully the others will be following soon. One dog at a time (maybe two) is all we can do.
