Today I picked up the two labs I dropped off at the vet last week when they were pulled from the shelter. I took them to a training and boarding facility in Santa Barbara to further their people skills and await a foster home. As you can see from the pics I took of the play area, I think they will really enjoy their stay. It looks very dog friendly and I love the use of the rocks, plants and wood in the area. You will notice they use a treadmill for exercise and the pool looks inviting for those who want to use it. This place really is a notch above many I have seen.
Is It The Same Dog?
Yes it is. I delivered “Cooper”, now known as Coop, to a wonderful rescue near the bay area back in April. She was in real sad shape. She had a bad case of lupus, never had a bath in her life, really overweight (due to lupus) hair falling out over most of her body because of a skin condition that was never treated (besides all the dirt). If she wasn’t a poster girl for a junk yard dog, then she was a close second – see more photos & read the details. Today I received a pic from Alex saying that she is going to her potential adopters’ home for a try-out to see how it works out. These peeps have spent a lot of time with Coop and know her issues and problems as well as any of us. We are so happy for her and if there was ever a dog that needs a break, its Coop. She has finally found so much love in her life lately that I am sure she is wondering when she will wake up and it’s all a dream. Well Coop, it’s not a dream. This is as good as it gets. Make the best of it.
