This morning, bright and early, I was at the vet’s in West Los Angeles. for a transport of these two chows for a chow rescue in Northern California. Despite appearances, these boys were real sweet. They were just unsure about all this moving around with all these new people getting in their faces. They handled well and I delivered them to another transporter taking them up north. Just one link in a long chain.
Both Nobody Wanted
Today I went to the Camarillo shelter to pick up two dogs that were not having much luck. The little chi was turned in to the shelter by the adoptive parents who adopted him last August. When I found out about it (and I will) I contacted the rescue, but they said they didn’t want her back. I was shocked and pissed. Ok, you won’t get her back and I won’t pull for them any more. I contacted TLC and Linda agreed to take the little one in at her store front in Simi Valley and hopefully she will find her furever home through them. Not all rescues are created equal. I also pulled the boxer from Camarillo and took him to the vet in the valley, where he will be staying until his kennel cough gets better, then he is off to a foster for Boxer Rescue. He will have no problem in finding his furever home.
