Meet Zoey, a 8-9 year old black lab that I transported from his foster’s to a more social environment at a vet office on the west side of L.A. Zoey left his foster’s today so he could have more dogs to play and socialize with. His foster mom recently lost her lab and Zoey was all alone during the day and was not happy. So the rescue decided that he would be better off until his adoption in a more communal atmosphere. Of course Zoey doesn’t understand this and is wondering why his world has suddenly changed. We all hope that he will be happier here with more doggy friends, time will tell. The real answer will come if he can get adopted. It’s so hard when you are a senior, black and a big dog. Let’s all hope the best for Zoey.
Our First Spay-Neuter Run From Oxnard
If you look closely at these smiling faces you will notice a high degree of anticipation about what is to come. Today was the first day of transporting to the Simi Valley low cost spay-neuter clinic from the Oxnard area. It’s free to the clients, except for the transport fee. All they have to do is call, fill out the paperwork and show up with their dog or dogs, and yes cats too. After a few hours it’s all done and we take them back to meet up with their folks and away they go. Hopefully this will be an ongoing weekly event, it is so badly needed.
