It’s so hard to believe; most dogs get 10 days, at most a few weeks, but that’s it. I found out that the staff really really liked this girl, so they kept trying to get her adopted, but without much success. I transported her up north where she is going to a foster/adopt situation and we will all keep our fingers crossed for her. A year, it’s so hard to believe.
Looks Can Be Deceiving
I went back to Devore today, pulling and transporting for a rescue who desperately wanted to save this mama and her 5 babies. Today was it. Leave or die. It’s so black and white. I pulled her and they brought her out in a bite cage. Well that’s not a good sign. Was she going to be a wee bit temperamental? I was going to find out soon. Remember that any time you have pups around some moms can be a bit overly protective, especially coming out of a shelter. But guess what? She was a sweetheart and just wanted attention. She didn’t really seem overly anxious about anyone handling the pups. They were brought out in a cage so all the pups could ride along with mom. Smart. We quickly loaded up so they could enjoy the air conditioning as it was almost a 100 degrees out that day. It was a long but cool ride to the rescue and she was so excited to be out of the shelter, she knew she was on her way. And she is.
