Saturday I went back to Devore to pull and transport these six little guys. Saved from the jaws of death, this was their last day and they had to go out the front or back door. To some it doesn’t matter. But to the rescue that took them, it mattered a bunch. They are all safe and sound, and hopefully after vetting they will find their forever homes soon.
Two Very Different Places
Today I brought a beagle from the Camarillo shelter to a rescue in the valley where he will hopefully be adopted. I also pulled a pitte mix from the shelter that had been picked up by Animal Control. The owners didn’t have the $270 it cost to bail him out. These people loved their dog very much and just wanted him home. It wasn’t their fault that their dog got loose, but they had to pay the price. So I paid to pull him from the shelter and adopted him to his owners. Knowing the chances of him getting killed at the shelter were high, it was the right thing to do. Going back home is a chance I wish every dog had, but few do.
