Today I went to Devore to pull a mommy shepherd and her 7 pups. The pups were about 3-4 weeks old and they were all over the place. They were just getting into everything and that’s why the photos are short and sweet. Trying to corral them is like a Chinese fire drill. We got them all safe and sound then went to Dogs Day Inn in Hisparia, about 30 miles down the road, and pulled 4 lab mix puppies that were a few weeks older. We had to keep everyone separate so mom wouldn’t get upset. It all worked out fine, except Lorrie now had 11 pups to contend with on her drive to the boarding facility where they will await transport. Good luck guys, someone will need it.
Meet Truman
As he was labeled “rescue only” I was expecting a feral, or at least cat that was having a hard time adjusting to his environment. But no, out comes Truman who was very sweet and just wanted to be held. Was he adjusting well? Probably not; for a cat, the shelter is far more stressful than for dogs. They just do not like it there. No matter what the staff may do or not do, they just don’t like it. He was pulled for an outstanding local rescue and he is on his way to a much more friendly and cuddly place. Life starts again.
