These two have to be the luckiest Chihuahuas in California. I received an email from Ashey, in England, asking for help in pulling these two from the Camarillo shelter ASAP. Sure I said; and how would we do that and where would they be going, I asked. She said she would take care of that. A little while later, Joy calls me from a Chi rescue in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and ask if I would pull and transport them to her. After getting all the particulars as to who they were and were they a bona-fide rescue, I said sure, I will transport them if the cost were covered. It was and I pulled them from the shelter today and they are staying overnight at another rescue’s house. We leave Friday morning for Santa Fe and I will get to meet these wonderful people who made these two littlest ladies the luckiest two I have ever met. This will be an ongoing saga as I will be gone not only to Santa Fe, I will be checking out the rescues in Arizona at the same time. So I will post pictures and comments as we go on this journey.
It’s That Time
I pulled Jersey Mike and Hershey from the shelter today, plus picked up Roscoe from Simi, to have a play day at the vet for the spay-neuter appointment. They were just glad to be out of the shelter for a while. After their vet time, they will be returning to the Simi holding facility to await transport sometime next week to Arizona. It is so hard on them to wait at the Simi facility. Its cold concrete floors are not to inviting to lay on and it seems that it is always cold in there. The faster we can move them out, the better it is for them. But it is better than the alternative at the Camarillo shelter.
