On Wednesday I made a trip all the way up to Tracy, CA to transfer poor Sammy to Tracy (yes, same name) of Chino Boxer Rescue. I had pulled Sammy earlier in the day from the North Central Shelter in Los Angeles. While he was at the shelter he became a favorite of the staff and they just had to get him out. He was so very frighten there and was not doing well. His owner had died suddenly and he was banished to the shelter by people who didn’t want him at all. He was so scared and nervous at all the changes going on in his life. But he was very friendly and just wanted to be with someone. Well, he is very lucky that Tracy has taken him in and I believe that she already has potential adopters waiting for him. I am sure that all will be falling into place for this guy and his future is assured. A long trip, but worth it.
Alumni Update
If you look at this boy you wouldn’t recognize him from his before photo on October 9. He was sent to Hope Haven Rescue in Oregon and was in pretty bad shape. Now, for 10 yrs old he sure looks like another dog, much younger dog. His sister is now only starting to get over some major medical conditions and is on the mend. It’s always so good to get updates on the ones we have saved. It’s what keeps us going. Thank you Marsha for all you are doing and have done for these and others at your rescue.
