Today I did the normal Wednesday spay-neuter run for the cats and dogs from the SPARC shelter in Santa Paula to the low cost clinic in Simi Valley. That went as usual and as you can see from the photos, everyone was very happy to be there. Not really, but they pretended well. After I delivered them to the clinic, I received a transport request to pick up a rooster above the Ojai area and take to the Calabasas area to meet up with some folks that agreed to take this rooster to a wonderful home that has 10 chickens. Keep in mind that this rooster was turned into the SPARC shelter as the owner could no longer keep him, because of neighbor complaints. I have to admit it was different, and having him crowing on the way down the 101 was not the usual sounds I hear on the road. My dogs really didn’t know what he was, but they knew he was definitely not a dog. Off-loading went well, and the way back was a little quieter, but not nearly as much fun.
