Another three from a high kill shelter on their last day. Once again a great rescue has stepped up so they may have a life, and a much better one than where they came from. What really gets to me sometimes, is when you call in to arrange their pickup, you are told that no, that one was euthanized already sorry, next one please. It means that they killed them before I had a chance to get them out. Why are they in such a hurry to kill? That I just don’t understand. Like an hour or more will make that much difference to the shelter staff. It seems that the decision to kill something is the first one made, not the very last. I cannot ever understand that mentality. Most likely never will. It’s all so sad and so unneeded.
