It was a busy day trying to cover all this in one day. First I went to a city shelter, pulled a terrified boxer out that looked very afraid and didn’t want any part of this new world. So scared. It will take a lot of work to get this boy back to trusting anyone. Next one up was a shepherd that was not as bad, but still very scared and was not sure as to what was about to happen. I delivered him to a very caring kennel and I know in a short time he will be fine. While I was there I received a call to do a quick evaluation on a pittie that had only to 3pm or it was the kill floor for him. All the rescue wanted to know was, how is he with other dogs. That’s hard to determine in a shelter, as they won’t allow you to put the dogs together to find that out. So we improvised. Lets walk her through the kennel and see how she reacts to the others. She did just fine, she was so sweet, I just couldn’t leave her behind. So off to the vets with her and she will be going up north in a week or so. You just have to find a way to make things work. Lives are at stake.
