Sarge, Bunnie, and T-bone have left the building. They are now on the first leg of their journey to Tucson and from there, an adoption home. People don’t realize how many people it takes to accomplish this. And every one a volunteer. Each of these wonderful people give something to each dog that passes through their hands. Some weep tears of joy at the prospect of these guys finally having a chance at a life that they could have never known here. Others weep for all those who didn’t have this chance and are now dead. And some shed a tear for all those that we can’t save, no matter how many leave the building. All of us just keep saving one dog at a time.

Transported One, Pulled Three
I pulled Rocki today (pictured below) to go to a very special place. I am not allowed to divulge the home’s owner under penalty that I would have to watch all her films run backwards. No, really this person is so sweet and caring for the dogs, beside being known by everyone, she guards her personal privacy and I respect that.
As for Rocki, well he took to the family right off and was friends with everyone. He did his meet and greet with the senior dog who really didn’t care who he was, just leave me alone was fine with him. Since Rocki has never apparently seen stairs before, we had to have an immediate training session as there were a lot of stairs to climb to get to the house. He watched Lacy, the senior one, climb and then took right to it. When I left, Rocki was exploring the yard and it is a big one, all fenced and secure. It always amazes me how quickly dogs settle right in. Hopefully Rocki will do well here, he will have everything he will ever want.
