Today I transported two more from our holding facility to Valley Vet Spay-Neuter Clinic in Simi Valley. A good volunteer (Kim) picked them up at 4pm and brought them back to the holding area. I will pick one up on Thursday for transport to Phoenix and pick up two others elsewhere. But that’s another story and another day.

Are We Excited?
Maybe or maybe not, it’s hard to tell from the look on this pup’s face. He was one of three that I pulled from the shelter, literally from the jaws of death. He and k-67 had no time left at all. It was now or never. Sometimes it’s that close. I pulled him by 2pm and he would have been dead at 3pm. I transported him to Baldwin park for transport to Phoenix, then on to Tucson and a better life. Sometimes it feels like we are running an underground railroad to save the dogs lives. But it’s one dog at a time (in this case 3).
