I pulled Gizmo from the shelter on Thursday and transported him to Sandy’s in Acton for boarding and training. As some might recall I pulled Gizmo once before back in Oct (click here for details) for Ted who was his foster and did try to find him a home, but was unsuccessful; and Gizmo had an altercation with the family’s other dog, so Gizmo had to leave. He was at the shelter for 6 days before I found him a place at Sandy’s, albeit temporary, but at least he’s safe for now. Let’s see how he does there being around other dogs and we will see down the road what will happen from here. Another step in a long journey for this guy.

Who Are You?
On Monday I was asked to take this poor guy from the Camarillo shelter out to Akita Rescue in Riverside. He had been at the shelter for weeks and there was absolutely no interest in him from anyone. His time was running out and if they didn’t take him, then that was going to be IT for him. He had been picked up as a stray, though looking at him, he had to belong to someone, but they never bothered to look for him. Why was he wear the Elizabeth collar? Don’t know and the staff didn’t know. No medical reason was listed. So we took it off to make him more comfortable during transport. When we arrived he was so happy to be somewhere other than where he had come from. Couldn’t blame him. And no he didn’t even have a name.
